How To Install AngryBirds.Bar and other Apps To Your PlayBook Easily


Here is a list of application that can be side loaded into your PlayBook easily. I've shown you how to install AngryBirds.bar app using DDPB installer, Today I'll show you a new and easier method to install .Bar applications.

STEP 1.
Download Playbook Tools (Sorry for the inconvenience the original playbook tools file was deleted by medifire, follow the link and download DDPB installer. Its much easy to use)

STEP 2.
Extract the Playbook_Tools.zip file using WinRar.
Download WinRar

STEP 3.
Set your playbook in development mode :
Goto Playbook settings > Scroll down and select "Security" > Select "Development Mode" and turn it on, You will be asked to enter a password, make sure you remember this password (Very Important)

You will see the developer mode icon next to the orientation lock icon just below the top bezel. Select the icon which looks like a person, and make a note of your Playbook's IP address.





STEP 4.
Open the extracted files, and right click on PB-Installer.bat file and choose Edit. A notepad will open, Now you would see two options SET TABLETIP=192.168.1.110 and SET TABLETPASS=password, remove 192.168.1.110 and password.


SET TABLETIP= "Enter Your Playbook ip Address"
SET TABLETPASS= "Enter Your Playbook Development Mode Password"


After that save the file.

STEP 4.
Download .Bar Apps and then connect your PlayBook to your PC using USB cable.
Now Drag and Drop the downloaded .Bar app to PB-Installer.bat icon.


The App will be installed into your Playbook.

    This was great! It's a little choppy, but at least I have AngryBirds on my Playbook now.

    I hope the 2.0 Android Player releases soon, bringing to us the android version of Angry Birds. Till then have fun with this version :)

    When I drag the app on the batch file it says: Java.exe was not found in your path. Do you have Java runtime installed?

    What do I do?

      Install the correct version for your computer is it 32 or 64bits?? Good Luck

    Hi Lime_Frog there are 2 versions of Java available 32bit & 64bit. Check which one works with ur PC.

    There are many good app, what are you looking for? anyways filebrowser, RDM+, Groovy Notes, Tv on the go, modern combat, pinball, fileshield,Box, FLV player, localbar, playtorrent, omnombot, dead space, Real Football, scrapbook, instaphoto etc are my favorite apps.

    I just updated my PB to 2.0.0.4869 and can't seem to sideload using ppdb or this batch file.

    No need for OS2 for this game, The official version is available in the app world go get it.

    Hello,

    This is not working for me. I'm able to establish the connection via pb-connect.bat but when trying to install the bar file via pb-installer.bat, I get below error

    List of apps to install -

    C:\Users\sysadmin\Downloads\t\sys.android.bar

    To PlayBook at hostname/ip: 198.168.1.108


    Starting to install:
    C:\Users\sysadmin\Downloads\t\sys.android.bar
    Error: Cannot connect: Connection to https://198.168.1.108 refused. You may have
    to reboot the target.

    There was an error installing one or more of your applications,
    Please check your configuration and try again.
    ECHO is off.

    Exiting...

    I have check the password and IP and they are correct as I'm using the same IP and password in the pb-connect.bat and it connects to the playbook fine.

    Any ideas??

    Do u java runtime installed in ur pc, please check. Goto oracle.com

    Those files are not mine :) But i'm guessing it might be Lets Golf 2. Thanks for bringing this to my notice, i'll have to remove the links as i dont share paid apps.

      Try downloading java from here n check if it works.

    buddy i was installing modern combat 2 and it stppoed in between now it used up the memory but the app was not installed and i ended up wasting that memory and now i want to know how will i get it back....

      btw when i try to drop the .bar file to PB-installer, it says: "java.exe was not found in your path,is the java runtime installed?" how do i fix it?

      Get Java run time installed in your pc. Goto oracle.com to download java. Check the OS compatibility before downloading.

    i'm installed with DDPB ver 1.09 , it's work but there's no icon show on playbook. Where can i find the program installed? .Help me please ...

      The bar file that you're trying to install might be corrupted, do you get any errors? Does this happen to all files you install?

      Just tap and hold on the icon, you should get a delete button clicking it will uninstall the app.

    Hello, thanks for this was working fine for me got Angry Birds onto my playbook then i couldnt get anything else installed i keep getting an error message on everything have you any help please.
